"This "routine" seasonal checkup took several hours and the technician left the system inoperable. I discovered this during the evening when I attempted to adjust the thermostat and found it was not connected to the furnace/air conditioner itself. This necessitated a second visit, by another technician, at 9 pm to flip a switch on the furnace, in my attic, to reconnect thermostat and unit. Unacceptable. Not only that, I am still waiting 2 days later for someone to follow up on the missing part that Benjamin said is needed to complete work. I called about it this morning and 4 hours later, no one has called me back with information. Plus, the second guy who was here tried to sell me a new system -- I don't want to be sold anything, and I told him that at the outset."

However, it was decided that it was not fixable at this time, and they were pitching sales of the advantage program to me the whole time. I just joined service experts to service my HVAC and thought I was fine. I'm kind of confused following this visit. Also, I chatted using the online chat prior to setting up the appointment to have someone look at my thermostat. I asked if it was part of my plan and was told that the visit would be free but I would have to pay for labor and parts if a repair was done. Well, no repair was done and I was charged a fee for them to come out. I guess I am very confused at this point."

"Francis took his time and explained all that he did to service the air conditioning system HOWEVER, I was NEVER informed that a "plumbing" technician would arrive with the person servicing the air conditioning system. I did not appreciate the plumbing person's forward actions when he came into my garage and announced he was checking my hot water heater. The heater was replaced a couple of years ago by a local plumber before Service Experts took on the additional service of plumbing. I believe Service Experts held the company to high standards. I think you should examine this "new" practice of "trespassing" on the pretext of servicing an existing contract."

He also said as it was running could damage the motor. So I asked, "What sense does it make not to replace the capacitor, when you may have to replace the motor AND the capacitor at YOUR cost in the future"? He said it wasn't his place as to Service Experts policy. You should replace the capacitor at no cost to me under my service plan."

"Took months to resolve the A/C and heating problem. The first tech who never gave his name simply said the thermostat was flaky and there was nothing he could do and left after a few minutes. It turned out that the unit was installed incorrectly. Ray was here for 4 hrs and 20 min and got it running correctly temporarily. It wasn't until Brett, the third tech, called Lennox that it was discovered that the wires were literally crossed. Lennox said it was a wonder the unit worked at all. Your techs need to be taught how to install a unit correctly, and how to tell when it is not installed correctly. A tremendous amount of my time and your money was wasted because they are not trained properly on installation. The water heater inspection and clearing of the water pipes went fine as far as I can tell."

"Installing the furnace/air handler took 11 hours, partly because some parts or equipment had to be acquired in the middle of the process and the installers were gone for more than 2 hours. Additionally, I was quite concerned that there was too much air flow coming from the vents, being very loud. The first attempt to send a technician meant that he/she would arrive after 8 pm which I objected to. When a technician arrived the next day, he was discourteous in implying that there was nothing wrong for me to be concerned about and said he could not fix it. He also was wearing a very dirty mask and had dirty hands. Then two technicians came another day and were able to lower the flow to that it is not as loud as before. They were much more courteous."

Technician got rude after that answer until I said I know it will cost me to fix the disposal and ensured he would be paid. Called back after the service and said "you were at my house earlier working on a disposal" to which the technician responded "I'm not at your house", once again being rude so clarified I said you WERE at my house. I feel I was over charged and under served."

"Will went above and beyond to see why I wasn't approved for the Advantage Finance for my hot water tank. He contacted his mgr who contacted the head quarters to see if something could be done. However, he told me about another option, which wasn't as good as the first one. He ran my credit once again and I was approved for a higher credit limit than what he tried to get me approved for the first one. This was an extremely frustrated on both sides. Will couldn't explain how I was approved for the 2nd options and not the other, which again was the BETTER options. So, I lost out on all the perks that came with option 1, which as a loyal customer I wasn't happy about at all."

"While the technician seemed to know his mechanical stuff, his electronics was woefully lacking for the electronic Bosch heatpump system. He should never have gotten into the electronic system, period. He managed to blow one of the electronic fuses and replaced it with a type that is supposed to be identical, which I could not confirm. I sternly requested that the report showed what had happened and the replacement fuse type, since there is a possibility of some hidden damage to the system that might show up later on. Except for the fuse type installed there is nothing in the report that shows what happened."
