My expectation was that like any other technicians-become-sale associate, he will start convincing me to buy a new unit, especially considering mine was old, but he went up and down to fix it for me with minimum cost, while he explained to me why should I think about changing the unit in near future, with no usual sales pitch and by providing more informative and logical recommendations. Result: I may actually change my unit, and guess what! I will use your company because of Alexs way of handling this visit and making me trust you guys. This is a type of employee who should be recognized and praised. Thank you again, Alex."

Informed me afterwards of status of system -- basically all good, since we do have it well maintained and in a crawl space that is basically air controlled -- sealed vents and humidifier and de-humidifier systems in place, with outside drainage waterproofing and French drains installed several years ago."

"I am concerned that the last two visits to service my u its has included the need to purchase items for each unit. It was presented to me as an absolute necessity for the proper operation of the system. Since I purchased both units from Service Experts I wonder why this piece was included initially but couldnt get a clear answer. Then when I was presented with the bill, he said I should be prepared to buy something else on the next visit. He also reset my thermastat after I told him how I set it. Whether he didnt understand or just didnt bother to listen Im not sure. Until now I have trusted the technician and service experts to advise but at this point it feels as though youre trying to get me to but things on each service visit."

This is not good practice and it concerned me: gloves tend to come off when needed to write something, and they also capture microbes from the places they contact."

He found that the pump was not working to pump water out from the crawl space when the AC was on and replaced it. He also thoroughly cleaned the outside units in both places and check all the operating parameters. He replaced some screws missing on the inside unit at the rental, etc."

"I set up a tune-up appt through Duke energy for $39. The first thing the tech asks is "did they tell you it's $39 per system?" The person I spoke with to set the appt did not clarify that. I decided on just the heating tune up, the tech hooked his stuff up called me over and said I needed a new system. There was ice build up on something and a zero pressure reading. I has told him there was a valve or something that I had issues with before but he claimed that I still needed a new system because there was no freon and a huge leak somewhere. He never actually completed the tune up."

"Alex is very friendly, knowledgeable and competent. He's an asset to your company. Just one point that doesn't really reflect on Alex, but I want to make you aware, so you can tell all your agents. Alex needed to use our outside water hose. Last fall we had turned off our whole outside water system and left the faucets open, so no water could freeze inside the pipes during the winter. Since Alex needed the outside water now, we went into our garage and turned the "outside water bibs" back on. That enabled Alex to use the water from the faucet on the 'North' side of our house. What Alex was not aware of, was that we also had a faucet on the 'South' side of our house... and that South side faucet was also open and "on", and when we opened the "outside water bibs" lever..... that also meant that South side faucet was on and running. We were not aware that the faucet on the 'South' side of our house was running until a neighbor (who was walking his dog) rang our doorbell and asked us if we knew that the outside faucet was running. By that time the faucet had been running at full tilt for 3.5 hrs. Just something that I thought you could make your agents aware of.... that if the 'outside water bibs' need to be turned on in order to access the outside water, then they should also ask about additional outside faucets that might also be open.
