Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning in Raleigh always tells you about how our service techs are NATE-certified, and while it sounds encouraging, what does it truly mean?
NATE stands for North American Technician Excellence and, as stated on their website, is the nation’s largest certification organization for HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) and refrigeration technicians. The organization was developed by and has been supported by the entire HVAC and refrigeration industry but not all people in the industry are required to be certified through NATE. The certification is discretionary and technicians can work in the heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration industry without being certified by NATE.
It’s important to Service Experts that our technicians are NATE-certified to be sure we are sending the most qualified and professional technicians into your home. To make sure technicians meet these standards, the NATE-certification assessments validate real-world working knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems for technicians. The exams are knowledge-based exams that assess the technician’s knowledge of these subjects.
Since Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning focuses on the HVAC side of NATE-certification (not refrigeration), there are only specific areas pertinent to our technicians. NATE exam candidates may obtain installation and/or service certification in one or more of the talent areas listed below:
