What Are Common Air Conditioning Problems?
Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is here with a few of the most typical cooling problems in Raleigh.
If you can hear your A/C equipment operating but there isn’t cool air coming out, you might need to have your refrigerant levels analyzed. Refrigerant is what helps make sure the air blowing from your air conditioner is actually cool. Call Service Experts and we’ll come out and review your refrigerant levels and look into why your air conditioner is not producing cool air.
One reason your condenser fan isn’t rotating could be that it simply burned out and you need to replace the fan. Humidity could cause more condensation so a second issue to watch for is that the water is not draining properly or that the drain is obstructed. If you can check these issues, you may be able to pinpoint the issue; if not, give Service Experts a call and we can look into what has stopped your condenser fan from rotating and discuss your options to get your system cooling again.
First, try lowering the temperature on your thermostat. It seems simple but sometimes we neglect the obvious. If that doesn’t get your system cooling, inspect the air filter. If the air filter is obstructed, it could cause significant cooling problems. Another issue that could cause your lack of cooling is that your air conditioner is not sized properly, and unfortunately this is a typical issue when homes are constructed. Service Experts will come out and conduct an analysis to determine if the size of your unit is causing your issues.
If your AC is short cycling, or turning on or off constantly, it could mean one of many things. One is that your condenser or evaporator is dirty and requires cleaning. Once the equipment is cleaned and all clogs removed, you may be good to go. Remember that humidity also plays a role so if your home cools to the right temperature, but then the humidity causes your home to warm back up, it could result in on-again, off-again air conditioning because it’s having to work harder to keep your home at a lower temperature.
No matter your trouble, whatever air conditioner trouble you run into, Service Experts is here for you 24 hours a day so we can get you comfortable quickly.
